News of Natalie's plans to release a children's book co authored by herself and her younger sister Nicky Moore broke early in the stars rise to fame. This lessened as Natalie found herself elevated to fame due to her popularity in Neighbours and the success of band the Rogue Traders.

The book was brought into the spotlight again in 2007 as media outlets picked up on the plans. A title was introduced 'Sistahood: The Journal Of Self-Discovery' and various small snippets of information were given such as the theme of the book which was to act as an inspirational guide to young girls encouraging them to seek to work hard to secure their dreams.

Early 2008 saw book retailers list Sistahood: The journal of Self-discovery for preorder with a stock date of April 2008.

More details were added in March 2008 with the draft cover added to retail sites and Sisterhood.com.au slated as a possible official site for the book.
