Ex-Neighbours actress Natalie Bassingthwaighte has been speaking about her latest project, forthcoming horror flick Prey.
The star, who is best known for playing superbitch Izzy Hoyland in the Aussie soap, was obviously delighted with the change of pace, as she revealed to the Herald Sun.
"It feels like it's been a long time since departing Neighbours, but this was a good choice for me to start out," she said. "It's a brilliant script and so much fun.
Filming has just begun on the movie, which chronicles the adventures of a group who decide to head into the desert for a holiday.
Unfortunately, the jaunt takes a turn for the worse as the party find themselves under attack from a deadly creature.
Prey co-stars US actor Jesse Johnson, and is directed by George Miller, two men Nat revealed she was keen to work with.
The actress also spoke about her second career as a musician, and said she had been hard at work in the studio with her band Rogue Traders.
Their best-known single is Voodoo Child, but she is hoping to churn out more smashes.
She insisted she wanted to have fun and be challenged in her professions, and of all the things she wanted to do, being a superhero in a movie, creating a cartoon character's voice and touring the world with her band were high on the list.
So, no return to Ramsay Street then, Natalie?
