Australia
Unsurprisingly Natalie's home country of Australia is the place where she is best known. Her rise to fame was very exponential increasing rapidly in the years of 2005 and 2006 thanks to her involvement in the band the Rogue Traders.
Natalie's first public boost came as she took on the part of Izzy Hoyland in Australian television soap Neighbours. She continued in this role up until July 2006.
Her next jump in fame came as she joined little known Australian dance band the Rogue Traders. Thanks to frantic promotion and catchy songs the Rogues became an overnight hit in Australia allowing Natalie to get a taste of the countrywide fame that singers such as Kylie Minogue and Delta Goodrem enjoy in Australia.
The Rogue Traders worked hard to establish themselves further and Natalie became a household name in Australia. She took on several small acting roles alongside her music career
and took part in various interviews to help maintain her fame.
In 2007 it was announced that Natalie would star in an Australian horror movie title Prey.
United Kingdom
As tends to be the case, the United Kingdom was high on the Rogue Traders list when attempting to branch out into the international music market. The popularity of Neighbours in the U.K gave the band and Natalie a head start and the Rogues enjoyed a degree of success after releasing their music to the U.K charts as they release Voodoo Child.
The initial success of Voodoo Child faded fairly quickly however and the band struggled to sell their Here Come The Drums album to the UK market.
This lackluster performance continued in 2007 despite the Rogues growing popularity. Way To Go was planned for release in May 2007 however the release was cancelled by Sony BMG at the last minute.
America
In 2007 the Rogue Traders announced that they had plans to release music into the competitive United States music charts.
As Natalie's involvement in Prey was announced in early 2007, it was stated that the Australian horror movie would be released in the United States first.
Germany
Suggested by many as a true test of the Rogue's popularity, Germany became the third country to get a Rogue Trader release. Germany does not broadcast Neighbours, so Natalie and the Rogues would be releasing music without the recognition Natalie had brought in Australian and the United Kingdom.
Despite building up the German release, which was done through official statements and press releases, very little real news appeared regarding the Rogue Traders progress in Germany. Provisional release dates came and went with no follow up about the success or failure of the Rogue Traders music.
