AUSTRALIAN soap star Natalie Bassingthwaighte is set to launch her assault on the British charts within weeks.
Bassingthwaighte, known to Neighbours fans as the scheming Izzy Hoyland, is the lead singer of the band Rogue Traders.
They have apparently signed a deal with Sony BMG in Europe and are planning to release a single and album to accompany their UK tour in April or May.
Their song Voodoo Child will be the first to be released.
Natalie, 30, joined the dance outfit, who had already had some success with their remix of INXS's One Of My Kind, in 2005.
It is thought she will stay on in Neighbours for the time being.
She joined the serial in 2003, and her character Izzy has made a huge impression on Ramsay Street.
The bar owner fooled Karl Kennedy into thinking her unborn child was his, and is now shacked up with evil businessman Paul Robinson.
Natalie started her acting career on stage with roles in the Australian productions of Footloose, Rent, Grease, Chicago and Chang and Eng.
Her TV credits include The Mystery of Natalie Wood and Counterstrike.
